With Net Neutrality, Internet users should be able to access any kind of website/content they chose and should also be able to choose and use any application they choose without restrictions or limitations imposed by their internet service provider. Those who are in favor of net neutrality say yes to all sites, contents, and platforms on a public network to be treated equally. A good example would be someone who is shopping for a new appliance online; they should be able to shop on any website, and not just the one their provider has a preferred business relationship.
Network Neutrality relates to Internet Technologies in many ways. As mentioned in Chapter 9, we rely on the Internet and wireless technologies for communication and for sharing resources. The Internet and networking technologies have altered personal communication, allowing us to use many different devices to communicate anywhere in the world, at any time, with friends and family. It has all become our primary means of communication. Network Neutrality would permit anyone in the world to communicate with others who are miles away without having to run into a restricted site that would no longer permit him or her to communicate. One should be able to access any site, especially if they’re paying for the same provider or type of service. Which is also why they should not place restrictions on the Internet; it will only make things worse. There are quite a few arguments for/against Net Neutrality. Those in favor of Net Neutrality would include the FCC chairman. They argue that this policy is necessary to prevent broadband providers from favoring or discriminating against online services and websites. Those against it believe that the Internet should be accessible and open for companies and people to use it however they want. One might wonder why an Internet provider would want to block certain content or application. Well, with networking neutrality most Internet providers are able to block spam emails, and viruses that could easily hard their customer’s computers.
I believe I’m in favor of Network Neutrality. Anyone who uses the Internet must be able to access any website and its content whenever they want. They should be able to use any application they want, and should post their own content without having to face restrictions or limitations inflicted by their Internet Service Providers. With Network Neutrality, the Internet will remain the same. Without such policy, the Internet could get worse, and we do not need that right now. Most of us students should be happy about Network Neutrality; if it weren’t for them we would not have Facebook, or Youtube, or any other social network. We want the Internet to evolve, not to worsen. It seems as if it were the Internet that holds the way we communicate together, there’s no need to make things difficult.

socialxyz.com has been good to me. I used it about one to two times a week depending on the amount of time I hade in my schedule. I would on the site to comment on my classmate’s blogs every week. The site was helpful by giving us an outlet for each each assignments directions and looked at the PowerPoint slides posted from lecture. I really only used the blogs sections. Things such as Friends, Wire posts, and File widget options on the right hand side of the Dashboard screen I didn’t use at all.
This software helped me to provide an additional way to talk to classmates and study for our exams. This helped me to take many different views on a subject and therefore greatly opened my horizons on many subjects. This software not only helped build my knowledge for the clear fact that I had to use something I never had before on the computer but also because it contained a lot of good information. The site as well helped me to blog definitely never done it before, and opened my sights up to a new way of communication very organized way at that .
There was a lot about this social learning platform that helped me to collaborate with my peers. Since all blogs and assignments were made to be done by oneself, it allowed me to conversate with a lot of class mates to figure out what needed to be done. would consider collaborative to be a good description of this site. Also, this site d help me greatly in learning more about my other classmates. There is an option to put information about oneself on their homepage, some filled ot some didn’t but when they did it was easy to learn little bits about my classmates. network, I could see how it could help social ties because of the feature where classmates can comment on each others work.
The two aspects of this site that I found most useful were the blogs and the PowerPoint slides. The blogging part helped me give and take criticism. All of these steps helped me better understand the concepts we were learning in class. Also, having access to the PowerPoint slides on this cite were helpful because they were a great source to studying and review from. The two aspects that I found least useful of the site were the wire section and search tool bar..
Overall, this site was extremely helpful. Many of the aspects i stated earlier helped me gain more knowledge and better my understanding of certain concepts in the class. One improvement I would be to have a tutorial at the beginning I think everything students need is there but they just need to be taught proper usage. I think that would take this class to perfection
